An early morning fire destroys a business in downtown Stockbridge. The fire broke out around 3 AM at Firehouse Neon Signs, and flames were shooting through the roof within an hour. Stockbridge and Dansville fire crews responded quickly and were able to keep the blaze from spreading to a neighboring apartment building. That adjacent apartment building was briefly evacuated, but all residents have been allowed to return. No injuries were reported. The cause is currently under investigation. The 100 block of East Herbert Road in Stockbridge is still closed, as the investigation continues.
