CONVIS TWP, CALHOUN CO. - An unfortunate argument over the radio leads to a fatal car accident along I-69 Sunday. The accident happened shortly after 5 o'clock in the afternoon in the northbound direction of I-69 north of Marshall. A statement from the Calhoun County sheriff's says while the accident remains under investigation it "appears the [car's] two occupants were arguing over the radio station and the passenger reached over to slap the driver's hand off the volume control located on the steering wheel. This caused the... GMC Envoy, to drive off the road, and when she [the driver] attempted to get back onto the road, she over corrected and the vehicle rolled over several times.
The passenger 18-year-old Anthony Foulk sustained severe head trauma and died at the scene. The driver, Anthony's sister Grace, 20, received minor injuries.
Both were wearing their seatbelts.
The accident shut down one lane of traffic on northbound I-69 for approximately three hours Sunday evening.
