Deputies from the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff responded to a single vehicle traffic crash on Coonhill Road near Sayers Road in Henrietta Township around 10:22 p.m. Saturday night.
Both the driver and his passenger suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Sheriff Deputies determined through their investigation a 2003 Ford pickup truck was east bound on Coonhill Road and failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and overturned.
The truck also struck a utility pole power cutting power to the area.
The driver, a 16 year old male from Henrietta Township and his passenger a 21 year old male from Leoni Township did not survive the crash.
Deputies believe that alcohol may be involved and it appears neither occupant was using a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
