Farmers Market at the Capitol

Crops like sweet corn are behind schedule due to the late planting season and the blight we reported on this week is hitting some potatoes and tomatoes.

Growers at the Farmers Market at the Capitol aren't too worried about it all.

Emily Beutel from the Michigan Farmer's Market Association said, "I haven't seen it impact the crop selection here at the market. Some prices might be a little more than you'd expect, so if you do can peaches, you may want to wait until next season to put them away.

If you missed out, there will be another Farmer's Market at the Capitol on September 25th.
