LANSING, MI - The Second Annual Capital Area Restaurant Week (CARW) offers a great opportunity for the public to enjoy a variety of food at an affordable price around the Greater Lansing Area. Led by Earthy Delights, this week-long event aims to support local restaurants, encourage people to try new restaurants and raise money for the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
The Greater Lansing Food Bank is a non-profit organization that provides emergency food to individuals and families in mid-Michigan. Last year, CARW was a huge success, raising over $4,700. The fundraiser will continue this year, as each restaurant has agreed to give a $2.50 donation for every prix-fixe meal sold during the event to the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
Anyone can attend Capital Area Restaurant Week by visiting a participating restaurant. Each restaurant will offer a three course prix-fixe meal for either $25 per person or $25 per couple, depending on the restaurant. The menus that each restaurant selects are available on the CARW website. All guests are encouraged to make reservations with their chosen restaurants in advance in order to guarantee a spot.
New this year, there will be a grand prize giveaway. Every participating restaurant has donated a $25 gift certificate. One lucky person will win ALL of the gift certificates. To enter to win, dine during restaurant week at one of the participating restaurants and purchase from the restaurant week prix-fixe menu. Every meal is a chance to win.
Sponsors for the event this year include The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau, City Pulse, WILX and Earthy Delights.
