The Environmental Protection Agency has opened a criminal investigation at the former School for the Blind"in Lansing after workers hired to remove asbestos by MAC Contracting filed a safety complaint. The Ingham County Land Bank is using a grant to pay for the job. It issued a Stop Work order Tuesday. The state has its own investigation and should be finished in a couple weeks.
