On the first day of his trial, Charlotte doctor Kassem Mahmoud Hallak is being accused of sexually assaulting former patients.
In opening statements, prosecutors say Hallak inappropriately touched or had intercourse with 11 women, between November 2009 and July 2010.
One witness has taken the stand this morning.
She accused Hallak of touching her breast during a check-up, and later spanking her on her buttocks after giving her a shot in her hip.
Reporter Alyssa Fenske is covering the trial and will have more on our evening broadcasts.
