Detroit's Bankruptcy Affects State

LANSING (WILX)-- Detroit has become the largest city in U.S. history to enter bankruptcy. The city of Detroit officially entered Chapter 9 bankruptcy after a judge declared it met the specific legal criteria required to receive protection from its creditors.

The landmark ruling will end up affecting more than just the city. The state as a whole relies on the cities image, and economy.
