DETROIT (AP) -- Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan has declared March Affordable Care Act Enrollment Month and is opening some Detroit firehouses and recreation centers for residents to sign up for health insurance.
Signup begins Monday and is part of Duggan's efforts to get as many residents enrolled by the March 31 federal deadline.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays firehouses at 3737 E. Lafayette, 4700 W. Fort, 13939 Dexter, 2300 S. Fort and 16825 Trinity will be open for enrollment.
The Adams Butzel Family Center and Butzel Family Center will be open from 2-7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays.
The Coleman Young Recreation Center will be open for signup from 2-7 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, and signup will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at City Hall.
