Detroit Bankruptcy Trial Begins

Detroit's historic bankruptcy trial was underway in Detroit Tuesday.

Opening arguments from the city claimed progress is being made, but the city is still in distress.

Most creditors, including more than 30,000 retirees and city employees, endorse the restructuring plan put together by emergency manager Kevyn Orr and his team.

Bond insurer "Syncora Guarantee" is against that plan saying Detroit has unfairly discriminated against financial creditors.
