Derrick McClure will spend up to 15 years in prison for stabbing Donald Taylor to death last year.
He pleaded guilty in May to manslaughter, drugs and lying to police. Today, McClure says he regrets his actions.
"If my confession could bring them back and sort of bring peace or vindication for the role that I did play in that night, that would, that would be great for me," McClure said Wednesday.
Police were called to the scene of a fight at a duplex in Lansing last march. They found Taylor's body when they got there. They say it was not a random attack.
