The Michigan Department of Corrections and Michigan Corrections Organization responded to Attorney General Bill Schuette's report on the February prison escape in Ionia, Monday.

Both say they agree with many of the recommendations to guard against future escapes, like Michael Elliot's on February 2.

The correction officer union, Michigan Corrections Organization, pointed out a suggestion to put armed officers back in guard towers as key to security.
