Dems Accuse MSHDA Leader of Using Tax Dollars for Extravagant Trips

Democrats are accusing the head of the Michigan Housing and Development Authority of using taxpayer dollars to fund extravagant trips and accommodations.

After getting a tip, democratic leaders got Scott Woosley's receipts through the Freedom of Information Act. They say they found Woosley and other staff were reimbursed more than $200,000 in expenses.

Woosley is asking the Dept. of the Treasury to check any expenses that may have been inadvertently reimbursed.

The Snyder administration is also reviewing the case and making sure staff is properly trained on state travel regulations. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
