The man accused of robbing a credit union in Jackson last fall is expected in court today for his first day of trial. A branch of Jackson's Aeroquip Credit Union, was robbed last October. Two people are accused in that robbery, Darius Griffin, and Roger Ozier.
Police say Griffin drove the getaway car while Ozier went in and robbed the credit union in Blackman Township on october 8th. Earlier this month, Griffin took a plea deal, pleading guilty to a lesser charge of unarmed robbery.
He now faces up to 20 years in prison, instead of life when he is sentenced next month. Opening statements in Ozier's trial are expected to start in Judge McBain's court room
