Cops Seize Cocaine from DeWitt Home

Two people are facing drug charges after narcotics officers found nearly a kilogram of cocaine in their home.

Lt. Tim Gill of the Tri-County Metro Narcotics Squad tells News 10 39-year-old Robert Cantu Jr. and 30-year-old Lindsay Ann Jones were arrested on August 1.

They are both facing charges of possession of 500 grams or more of cocaine, with intent to distribute. Narcotics officers say they found nearly a kilogram of cocaine in their home in the Springbrook subdivision in DeWitt. Police value the drugs at $25,000 if sold in bulk, or nearly $80,000 if sold in smaller quantities.

If convicted, they face up to 40 years in prison, a $5 million fine and at least four years of supervised release. Both were indicted on the charges on Tuesday and were released on bond.
