Company Building $100 Million Foundry in Mid-Michigan

For the second time this year an auto-parts supplier is creating new jobs in Mid-Michigan. Brembo SPA announced it's building a $100 million foundry in Homer where it will make brake-disc castings. Construction starts next year and the foundry will open in 2017. Between the foundry and an expansion at its headquarters in Wayne County, Brembo will be hiring 250 new workers. The company expanded it factory and warehouse in Homer in May The state is giving Brembo $3.5 million in grants and tax credits.
