The MSU Police Department is warning students and parents about a scholarship prize fraud scam.
This scam claims you've won a college scholarship worth thousands of dollars, but requires that you pay a "disbursement" or "redemption" fee on the taxes before they can release your prize.
The university has seen an increase in cases this school year.
News 10's Shannon Kantner is talking with MSU officials and will have the full report on WILX at 5:00.
