UPDATE: City Close to Finishing Grand River Oil Spill Investigation

We should soon know who or what is responsible for the 800-gallon oil spill in the Grand River in Jackson last month.

Todd Knepper, Director of the Public Works Department, tells News 10 the city is close to resolving what happened and hopes to release that information by the end of the week.

No new oil showed up after this week's rainfall, so the two remaining booms have been removed and the river has been reopened.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any new developments.
