The melting snow is allowing crews to get back to work picking up branches from December's ice storm.
East Lansing says its clean-up will continue through the end of March or early April. It is encouraging homeowners to get the debris from their yard to the curb as soon as possible, so they don't miss the free collection.
Lansing's pick-up won't start until April, but homeowners are also encouraged to get the debris to the curb now. Once it starts, there will be a map on the city's website showing where crews are headed and where they've already been. Anyone who misses the pick-up will have to take their debris to a drop-off site.
As for Meridian Township, it has yet to set a definite date, but says it will probably start in mid-April and take about a month to get done. Once it has a plan of attack, it will be posted on the township's website.
