Following recent storms in the Lansing area, several residents have come forward complaining of flooded basements and property.
Homes and areas that rarely if ever saw flooding have now experienced similar problems consistently for the last 3-4 years, said Council President Carol Wood.
And Wood said most of the flooding issues can be traced back to the city's Combined Sewer Overflow project that was put in back in 2005.
The Lansing City Council Committee of the Whole is meeting Monday night at 6:30 p.m., along with representatives from the city's Public Service Dept., to discuss the issue and what should be done to ease the problem going forward.
WILX's Josh Sidorowicz will be sitting in on the meeting and will have more tonight on News 10 at 11.
