Church in Need of Volunteers for Christmas Dinner

For people who may be spending Christmas alone, Queen's Parish in Jackson is opening its doors for Christmas dinner. This will be the 15th year Queen's has done its community-wide dinner.

The church needs volunteers on Sunday, December 22 from 1pm to 3pm to help decorate the church's Social Center. The church will also need volunteers on Wednesday, December 25 to help serve the meal. Kitchen and dinner volunteers will be needed from 10am to 5pm. Donations of salads and desserts can be delivered to the Queen's School cafeteria on Christmas Eve from 3pm to 4:40pm and again on Christmas morning from 10:30am to noon. The church wants to make sure people who may be alone on Christmas Day have a place to come to celebrate and have a meal. The community-wide Christmas Dinner will take place at 2pm on Christmas Day at the Queen's Parish Social Center. Please call 517-782-7364 for reservations and let them know if transportation is needed. Doors won't open until 1:15pm. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion.
