EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Michigan State University says it's getting a visit Tuesday from the chief scientist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The East Lansing school says Catherine Woteki will tour its new Molecular Plant Sciences Building from 9:45 to 11 a.m.
The building officially opened April 13 and connects the Plant Science and Plant and Soil Science buildings.
Michigan State says the 90,000-square foot addition "serves as a bridge to bring together world-class plant researchers from a variety of disciplines."
The university says Woteki also will meet with school President Lou Anna Simon and hear about Michigan State research programs.
