LEROY TWP, EASTERN INGHAM CO. - A motorcycle chase and crash is slowing traffic along I-96 Wednesday afternoon.
The eastbound exit ramp form I-96 to M-52 near Webberville is closed.
The accident happened around 5PM. Police band radio reports indicate that police attempted to perform a traffic stop on a motorcyclist for speeding. The motorcyclist refused to stop. A few minutes later the motorcyclist had crashed in the ditch near the M-52 exit. Radio reports indicate neck and back injuries.
There is no estimate on when the accident will be cleared.
