Central Michigan University's board has voted to raise undergraduate tuition almost 3 percent for the coming academic year.
The Mount Pleasant school says undergraduates will pay $385 per credit hour in 2014-2015.
University Vice President Barrie Wilkes says Central Michigan has the fourth lowest tuition among the state's 15 public universities.
The Board of Trustees approved the tuition Thursday. It also voted for a nearly 2.8 percent increase in dormitory room and board rates.
The cost of a standard room and full meal plan will increase from $8,544 to $8,780 per year.
