Catholic Students Pumped For Work-A-Thon

Friday morning's drizzle didn't stop hundreds of students, staff and parents from Lansing Catholic High School from helping out in their annual Work-A-Thon. Students helped out at East Glen Apartments in East Lansing, one of many places they volunteered.

"This year we're going to see all the senior-citizen homes," said Haley Fischman, a senior at Lansing Catholic. "It's great to see them because we really get a personal connection with them."

"Over the past two years especially, we have really tried to pump up Work-A-Thon and get really excited about it."

Students each put in at least three hours of work and were shooting for two-thousand hours of service collectively on Friday. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
