LANSING - A car that was driven into the Grand River overnight has been removed from the water.
Police say alcohol appears to be a factor in an accident that happened shortly after midnight at Moores River Drive and Mt. Hope Road.
The driver, a 37-year-old Lansing man, was assisted out of the river and sustained minor injuries.
He was arrested after a brief struggle with the police. The car was completely submerged in the river.
Divers located it this afternoon. A nearby construction crew assisted with the retrieval of the four-door sedan.
