Capital Area Stand Down for Homeless Veterans

An event at Riverfront Park in Lansing helped the lives of veterans. The Volunteers of America teamed up with more than 30 other organizations for the yearly Capital Area Stand Down for homeless veterans. The event was complete with food, live music, health screenings and even employment opportunities. All things that will make a difference in the future of war vets. It was the first year the state offered new veteran licenses at the event.
