The BWL has scheduled two 15 minute planned electrical outages in downtown Lansing tomorrow, Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31 starting at 6 a.m.
These planned outages will help to assist Cooley Law School in updating its fire pump electrical service in the Cooley Center building at 300 S. Capitol Ave. The planned outage will effect 6 other commercial customers between W. Washtenaw St., S. Capitol Ave. and S. Pine St. and three traffic signals.
The traffic signals are located at the intersections of W. Washtenaw St. and S. Capitol Ave., W. Washtenaw St. and Townsend St., and W. Washtenaw St. and S. Walnut St.
All customers have been contacted about the planned outages. The Lansing Police Department will provide traffic control at the three intersections unless called away by an emergency. Otherwise motorists are advised to treat these intersections as four-way stops.
