Two Lansing public schools were put on a brief lock down the morning of Thursday, May 22 after Lansing police received a tip about a person with a gun from a resident.
The lock down started around 9:30 AM, and affected Sexton High School and Riddle Elementary. Police received a call from an area resident who had been engaged in an argument with a neighbor. The caller reported that the neighbor had a shotgun.
Police made contact with the neighbor, and found there was no cause for alarm.
There was never a gun on school grounds, the incident took place at nearby residence.
The schools received the "all clear" from Lansing Police around 10:22 AM.
