MERIDIAN TWP - A young boy is rushed to the hospital after an incident at the Michigan Athletic Center pool. Emergency crews were called to The MAC shortly before 1 o'clock Wednesday on a report of a possible drowning. John Foren, a spokesperson for Sparrow Hospital, which owns The MAC, says that lifeguards reacted immediately when they saw something wrong with the boy in the outdoor leisure pool. An ambulance soon arrived and the boy was taken to the hospital. The boy's condition is unknown.
The spokesperson says there are five, highly trained, life guards on duty at the pool.
