JACKSON - A state police bomb squad was called to a home in Jackson Monday night, after authorities serving a warrant find what appeared to be a pipe bomb. Jackson County Sheriff's Office investigators were searching a home in the 1000 block of Burr Street Monday night when they found the object inside a duffel bag. They evacuated the house. A state police bomb squad robot examined the object., and determined that there was no explosive substance in it. It just was made to look like a pipe bomb. The object was destroyed. The man the deputies were hoping to find at the house was not there and has not been located.
