The Michigan State Police Bomb Squad, along with the Delta Township Fire Department and Eaton County Sheriff's Department, spent several hours at a Delta Township apartment complex Thursday morning.
Deputies were sent to the Village Green apartment complex at 5200 Mall Drive West at 2 a.m. to investigate a domestic disturbance call.
Once inside the deputes discovered what is being described as "precursor chemicals'.
The chemicals could be used in a drug lab or in an explosive device.
The apartment building was not evacuated. Authorities said the chemicals are not dangerous in their current form and didn't believe there was an imminent threat to other people in building.
Deputies are looking for a man involved in the initial domestic disturbance for questioning.
