GAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) -- Divers have retrieved the body of an unidentified man that anglers spotted in the Grand River in western Michigan.
Grand Rapids police say the body was seen about 1:35 p.m. Sunday, near the Grand Rapids city limit with neighboring Walker.
Police say in a statement that the man was black, in his 20s or 30s, between 5-foot-5 and 5-8 and weighed 149 to 180 pounds.
They say they don't know how long his body was in the water or what killed him and are asking for people with possible information to contact investigators by phone or at www.silentobserver.com .
