Groundbreakings don't always get much fanfare, but this one Wednesday in Jackson County did.
A new addition at Northwest High School is going in and it has students there very excited. It's summer vacation and the band was out there! The district is adding a 1,000-seat cafeteria and auxiliary gym to the building. It's being paid for with two bonds voters passed last year worth $40 million dollars.
The money is also paying for a new elementary school the district started building in the spring.
