Summer Break-In Scams

Alert your elderly friends and neighbors especially. It could happen at any residence, but they do focus on the elderly. Summertime is prime time for travelling scammers. Even if you only see one person, assume there may be more waiting for you to go outside to look at the driveway, or roof. That is their chance to sneak in and see what is easy to grab without much notice.

Bath Township Police

Police in Bath Township are warning residents of a scam that happened Wednesday. A man approached an elderly couple and distracted them while another man broke into their home. Police say they see an increase in these scams over the summer. What you should look out for on News 10 at 5:00 pm. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion.
