Some local charities got a pay day Wednesday. Capitol National Bank presented a $41,000 check to 21 local groups. The money was raised through bank's 5K and Charity Challenge raffle. The total will be divvied up among the charities. "For some organizations, even if it's two or three thousand dollars, that's huge for them. Particularly with reduction in federal funding and funding for non-profit organizations. So to be able to help them out, and such a variety of organizations out, really make us all feel very good," said Capital National president Paula Cunningham. The bank says it's donated around $680,000 to the greater Lansing area through sponsorships, 5Ks and raffles over the last five years.
