GM dealers are going to have a backlog of new cars to get rid of after the winter we've had.
The weather has put a huge strain on our railroad network, causing a rise in inventories at plants across the U.S. and Canada.
That includes mid-Michigan's GM plants as well. The parking lot on the corner of Saginaw and Stanley Street in Lansing is packed with hundreds of GM vehicles just waiting to be shipped off to dealers.
The automaker tells us railroads will be able to work through the backlog as the weather improves.
