BWL says it will not ask customers for card information over the phone.

The Lansing Board of Water and Light is warning customers about a phone scam. People have been getting calls saying their service will be cut off unless they make an immediate payment over the phone. The BWL does not ask customers for credit card information or ask them to pay through services like Western Union or Money Gram. You should call Lansing police if you get one of these calls.
