The Lansing Board of Water and Light opened the doors of its new Reo Town plant Wednesday night.
It's part of the festivities for Public Power Week.
The BWL had water and electric exhibits, and tours of the cogeneration plant.
It opened July 1, providing 100 mega-watts of electricity and enough steam to service the entire scity.
It's reduced the BWL's coal use and greenhouse emissions as well.
