The Lansing Board of Water and Light is going to give away replacement parts needed for meter boxes damaged by masts being pulled away from homes.

The BWL Meter Department will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice. It is located in Build "G" at 1140 South Pennsylvania.

The equipment is free of charge to contractors and customers. But the BWL says it is important that customers pick up these parts only at the direction of their electrical contractor.

The equipment available is:
• 200 Amp Residential Meter Socket
• Meter Hubs in these sizes: 1”, 1 ¼”, 1 ½”, 2”, 2 ½”
• Nylon Screw type House Knobs
• Nylon Riser Clamp Knobs for 2” rigid Risers.

It is the homeowner's responsibility to have an attached mast and or house knob. Those items must be in working order before power lines can be reattached.
