LANSING (WILX)--The Lansing Board of Water & Light has tripled the number of tree trimming crews working in its electric service territory since the December ice storm outage. The tree trimming efforts will help to reduce future potential outages by eliminating branches hanging over power lines.
As of last week, crews began working in the Moores Park neighborhood in an area bounded by the Grand River to the north, Beal Ave. on the west, W. Mt. Hope Ave. on the south, and S. Washington Ave. on the east. Work in this area should last approximately one to two months.
News Ten's Alyssa Fenske will have more details tonight at six.
