The Lansing Board of Water and Light will begin flushing water mains in Lansing on Tuesday. About 1,200 customers will be affected.
It's scheduled to happen between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
You may notice changes in water pressure, but the BWL says the water will still be safe to drink. Once flushing is done for the day, you're encouraged to run the cold water tap until the water runs clear.
The BWL is flushing water mains to remove accumulated sediment and to maintain water quality.
