JACKSON COUNTY -- Consumers Energy crews have restored power to thousands of homes and businesses Thursday night.
The power went out around 5:20 p.m. after a fuse at a substation blew. There's no word yet on what caused the fuse to blow. The problem was fixed by 8:45 p.m.
About 4,000 customers were without power in the outage.
