ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a man has died after wading into Lake St. Clair in suburban Detroit.
The Macomb Daily of Mount Clemens and the Detroit Free Press report that the U.S. Coast Guard responded Saturday night to an area near Veterans Memorial Park in St. Clair Shores. A witness told authorities that a man walked out into the water and didn't return.
The Coast Guard says the man was found unresponsive and unconscious in waist-deep, 64-degree water. He was pronounced dead after CPR failed to revive him.
The man's name wasn't immediately released, but police said Monday that he lived in St. Clair Shores and foul play isn't suspected.
An autopsy was planned by the Macomb County Medical Examiner's Office to determine cause of death.
