Arrest Made In Downtown Lansing Murder Case

Lansing police sources tell WILX News 10 that an arrest has been made in a downtown Lansing murder. According to family members of the victim, 35-year-old Richard Anthony Strong was arrested in North Carolina.

The victim, 35-year-old Ygnacio "Notch" Bermudez, was shot multiple times in the 400 block of East Michigan Avenue back in November, 2011. He was dead when police arrived.

Strong was wanted on open murder, felony firearm and felon in possession of a firearm charges

Strong has a history of drug charges, according to his record with the state of Michigan. He served sentences for possession of cocaine in 1996 and delivery/manufacturing of cocaine in 2004.
