Armed Robbery at Speedway Gas

The Speedway gas station on the 1900 block of E. Michigan Avenue in Lansing was robbed in the early Thursday morning, January 16, just after 2:30 a.m.

Lansing police responded to an armed robbery call, and were told by dispatch that the robbery suspect had left the business.

Upon their arrival, officers investigated and found that the suspect entered the business, and approached a Speedway employee.

The suspect indicated that he had a gun and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect left the gas station with money, and may have gotten into a silver sedan. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male with dark complexion, approximately 6 foot 180 lbs. He was wearing red sweat pants, a black winter vest, a dark grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood on/up also wearing a red or blaze orange, knit or fleece hat with a bill. The suspect appeared to be wearing eyeglasses.
