All Detroit-Area Freeways Have Reopened

Southeastern Michigan's expressway system has finally reopened, two days after a storm dropped as much as 6.2 inches of rain on the region.
Northbound Interstate 75 just south of the I-696 interchange was the last stretch to return to service Wednesday evening.
Gov. Rick Snyder issued a disaster declaration Wednesday for Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.
He tells The Associated Press that he's working with Michigan's Congressional delegation for federal help.
The declaration also frees up more state resources and funds for manpower.
Authorities say two women and a man died in the aftermath of Monday's storms. They include a 100-year-old found in her basement, a 30-year-old who had a seizure in her flooded car and a 68-year-old man who died while pushing his flooded car.
