Aggravated Assault on MSU Campus Investigated

(East Lansing) A 19-year-old student says she was attacked by two men as she walked to Yakeley Hall early Sunday morning.

The woman says the alleged attackers began following her near the intersection of Beal Street and West Circle Drive on the MSU campus.

According to her statement to MSU police, one of the men walked up behind her and a grabbed her wrist. She tried to struggle but was hit in the face with an unknown object. She suffered minor injuries.

The woman says the two men ran away when a car approached. She then ran to Yakeley Hall.

The student described the first suspect as a black male, college age, muscular build, about 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a ball cap turned backward, light colored t-shirt, tan pants and a black G-Shock watch.

She was unable to describe the second suspect.
