The man accused of a shooting spree along the Interstate 96 corridor is scheduled to go on trial this week.
Raulie Casteel of Wixom is accused randomly firing his pistol from a car at other passing cars back in October, 2012.
This week's trial will be in Howell on charges filed by Attorney General Bill Schuette on behalf of Livingston, Shiawassee and Ingham Counties.
Casteel will face one count of terrorism based on 21 attacks. That's a felony, punishable by life in prison.
Casteel has already plead guilty, but mentally ill to additional charges in Oakland County. The Oakland County prosecutor had filed separate charges.
A pre-trial conference is scheduled for Monday morning to clear up remaining procedural issues.
The trial is then set to begin Tuesday with jury selection, if all goes as planned.
