The dog left for dead in a ditch a couple winters ago has found its forever home.
The Capital Area Humane Society says Tatiana was accepted into McKenzie's Animal Sanctuary in Lake Odessa, which specializes in finding loving homes for abused and neglected dogs.
Because of Tatiana's specific needs and personality, she could not be adopted into a traditional home. She was found hog-tied and bound with duct tape in a ditch by a Good Samaritan in January 2011. The man who left her there, Ray Potter of Dimondale, was eventually arrested and sentenced to 93 days in jail, community service, probation and $11,000 in fines.
The Capital Area Humane Society is throwing a Going Home Party for Tatiana on Tuesday, October 2nd at 12pm at its facility at 7095 West Grand River in Lansing. The public is welcome to attend and bring toys to send Tatiana to her new home with. There will also be a card for people to sign, as well as snacks and refreshments.
